This is often one of the very first plants of spring, found in lowland and boggy areas and often pushing its way through melting snow. This year, because of the crazy weather, it’s emerging with tulips!
Also note all the downed branches and storm debris around these! A tropical storm and freak snowstorm will do that to a place!



The bright green looks so fresh and vibrant against the brown twigs. Lovely contrast.
